Breathe deep.
If you need a word of encouragement go ahead and read these scriptures out loud in your mind.
You know what I mean – Ha, ha.
Place an emphasis where needed.
Visualize what God can do with your finite abilities and resources or lack there of.
That thing that is impossible in your life, is God asking you to believe for that? Yes, I believe He is!
“When God promised Abraham that he would become the father of many nations, Abraham BELIEVED him.
“God had also said, “Your descendants will be as numerous as the stars,” even though such a promise seemed UTTERLY impossible!
And Abraham’s faith DID NOT weaken, even though he KNEW that he was too old to be a father at the age of one hundred and that Sarah, his wife, had never been able to have children” (Romans 4:18-19).
Is there an impossible giant in the way of what God has prepared and promised you?
Are things looking dim because of all that you know?
Has more went wrong than right lately?
In many ways I can say yes and yet, God is still God. The I Am, that I Am goes before us, He goes behind us, and He paves the way in which we should walk.
Oh, and you should know, while Abraham’s faith DID NOT weaken over all-he did make mistakes. He did try to help God out by taking situations into his own hands.
Yep, I’ve done this too friend and it doesn’t work out so well. And, yet, in the end God bragged on Abraham and called him a friend because he believed God.
Know that it is ok to be human because that is what you are.
When you know better, you do better. Learn from your mistakes, but don’t let your mistakes hold you back from what God has for you!
“O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. He will be gracious if you ask for help. He will surely respond to the sound of your cries.
Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and suffering for drink, he will still be with you to teach you. You will see your teacher with your own eyes.
Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left” (Isaiah 30:19-21).
Sometimes this flat out makes us mad or at least it does me!
When we’re living in the middle of the impossible and we’ve seen what God can do, we just want him to hurry up and give us clarity or turn our “utterly impossible giants” into our victorious reality. That we can experience NOW, see with our own eyes NOW, and talk about it NOW!
Frankly God will not be rushed y’all.
He knows all the intricate parts of the situation. He knows what He’s building in you and I and others. He knows all the pieces that are coming together that we have not even conceived. He knows . . . Isn’t that the problem and the answer all in one?
He knows and we don’t.
That my friend creates a tension we often have a hard time living in, while allowing our faith to increase-not decrease. The tension of having faith, yet wondering if you should be doing more or something different. It can get confusing and weird and yet, God says, “Will you trust me?”
What has God already helped you conquer? Repeat the stories of the impossible you have already seen God turn into the reality you are living.
“When a lion or a bear comes to steal a lamb from the flock, I go after it with a club and take the lamb from its mouth.
The Lord who saved me from the claws of the lion and the bear will save me from this Philistine” (1 Samuel 17:34, 37)!
God is preparing us to take the giants on. He’s preparing us to rise up and fight His way, in His power, based upon His track record, abilities, and resources—not ours.
What are you rising up to fight for in your life?
Will you dare to believe God-not just for the provision you need in whatever part of your life that you need it-but for your very deepest hearts desires too?
Will you dare to hope like that again?
Will you rise up with a fierce and tenacious spirit knowing who will win this battle?
In case you are not aware, we can feel weak and tired and still rise up in God’s strength.
Don’t disqualify yourself.
God is equipping you. That peace you feel, in spite of your impossible-that is God working in you!
The Lord of the living armies of God is backing you and fighting for you friend!
When your resources have run out. When your laptop that you use for EVERYTHING dies. When ALL the things you are trying seem to be hitting up against a brick wall and plopping straight to the ground.
You should know this:
Our giants are nothing to our God. We can have faith over the impossible. We can have a God confidence in knowing whose we are and who holds our futures in his hands.
“So David triumphed over the Philistine giant with only a stone and a sling” (1 Samuel 17:50).
In this with you friend! Believing for God to do great things!

“That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing” (Romans 4:17).
P.S. This was not suppose to be a blog post. This started out as an encouraging, short post on my Faith Caffeine Facebook page and here we are. God knows.
P.S.S. Thank you for reading and I pray you are encouraged today. If you enjoyed this post, you may enjoy another post I shared as God began the journey of having me soak in Romans 4:15-25: What Are You Convinced Of?
